RE: Fuel Spill — Sandy Lake at Coppell Road North
Dear Mr. Free:
The City of Coppell Engineering Department received a complaint from our Environmental
Health division concerning a fuel spill at the referenced intersection. This complaint was
forwarded to our department because of the ongoing construction activity in the vicinity. Upon
researching active permits in this area, I found that Oncor Electric Delivery was the only
permitee working in the immediate vicinity. Please reference the attached permit for Oncor
work order 92827753, also titled the "Coppell Switch Substation — Sandy Lake Rd @ Coppell
Rd ". We believe the spill was either the result of the underground work performed under this
permit, or the subsequent overhead work currently under way.
Please coordinate the necessary clean up of this site through our Environmental Health division
and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Feel free to contact me if I can provide you with any additional information.
Sincerely,
Keith R. Marvin, P.E.
