Debbie Ingram helped me get the actual response as it was not showing up on the MyCoppell site. I really appreciate your update. Sounds like the plans are really going to help things out a lot. However, Mr Marvin's last day with Engineering was 12/5/06. Therefore, this request, along with four others, has just been sitting in an in box with no action taken. The traffic lights on West Sandy Lake should be fully operational soon. There is also a project to extend Freeport from Sandy Lake to S H 121. However, the bulk of the funding is currently Federal funds and that has slowed down the process. I have been working for over a year to "de-federalize" the money and I should know something this Spring. If it is "de-federalized", then we can quickly move forward with the design and acquisition of right of way. "De-federalizing" the money will save about 350n the design and construction. There are no plans to extend Royal to S H 121. It is to close to Sandy Lake to be able to access S H 121. There are plans to grade separate the Sandy Lake and Freeport crossings with S H 121. That is a state project and all approvals have been obtained and it is my understanding that the state could let a contract this year for that project. Your last comment concerned Coppell Road at S H 121. When S H 121 is improved, the Coppell crossing of S H 121 will be eliminated. This means that leaving Coppell Road at S H 121 you will have two options: 1) stay on frontage road and access Business 121 or the Toll Road or 2) Go under S H 121 at Denton Creek to access S H file:IIC: \Documents and Settings\rbrother\Local Settings\ Temp \XPgrpwise\45B525D8City... 8/10/2007 Page 2 of2 121 south bound. Again, there will be no crossover for Coppell Road at S H 121. The whole issue with safety concerns on the S H 121 frontage roads will be resolved when the grade separation of Sandy Lake with S H 121 occurs.
