St~BJECT: Status of Kaye Street Drainage Improvement
DATE: May 13, 1991
Please see the revised attached list of Kaye Street residents along with
their addresses and the appointment time to meet with them to discuss the
drainage improvement.
As of today, we have met with Mr. Gerald Howard, Mr. Curtis Jones, and
Mrs. Sharon Brabham and we are in the process of obtaining easement
documents for signature. The easement documents are being prepared by Mr.
Terry Mitchell with Carter & Burgess. Before such time easement documents
are drawn up, you will find the attached letter addressed to us and to be
presented to each resident allowing construction of necessary drainage
improvements to alleviate drainage problems.
According to this revised list, we had a cancellation from Mrs. Fay P.
Nigo on May 9, 1991 because she had forgotten about a previous
engagement. She rescheduled and confirmed for May 16, 1991 at 5:00 p.m.
at her residence. Mrs. Billie Sisk canceled out also on May 9, 1991,
because she wasn't feeling well. We called her today to reschedule and
she will meet here at City Manager's office tomorrow (May 14, 1991) at
10:00 a.m. Larry Davis, Alan Ratliff and Mr. Gilbert Welch attempted to
meet with Mrs. Darwin on May 8, 1991, but she was not at home at appointed
time and there was a problem with engineering drawings related to this
property. Mr. Blake Svejkovsky called in and confirmed appointment for
Monday, May 13, 1991 at 6:00 p.m., but Mr. Ratliff had to cancel. We
rescheduled and confirmed Mr. Svejkovsky for May 20, 1991 at 6:00 p.m. at
his residence. Please note that we have deleted Mr. Glen Strickland off
the list, as he no longer applies to this drainage. We have added Mr. and
Mrs. James Spelt at 335 Spanish Moss to the list. Both Strickland and
Speir were results of the address changes made recently on Spanish Moss
Court.
If you have any questions or comments, please advise.

Re: Kaye Street Drainage
It is my intention to allow you to construct the necessary drainage
improvements to alleviate drainage problems at the rear of my lot. I will
grant a ten foot wide drainage easement and a temporary construction
easement in conjunction with the construction of this project which allows
the City to construct and maintain this facility as required. A condition
of my granting this easement is that any fences temporarily removed during
construction will be replaced to their existing condition.
I understand the temporary construction easement will be abolished upon
construction of the work.
