The City of Coppell hosted a utility coordination meeting on August 14, 2007. The main focus was the
capital improvement projects the city will begin construction on within the next twelve months.
Attached herewith is a copy of the agenda from this meeting, our latest utility company contact
information, a copy of our most recent Project Status Chart, and plans for our next two projects. We
expect to begin construction of Coppell Road from Sandy Lake to Bethel Road, and Bethel Road from
Freeport Parkway to Denton Tap in the time frame sho\\<TI in the status chart.
Please review this material and call me with a time that is convenient for you to meet to discuss these
projects. Weare eager to begin the process of evaluation and relocation of utilities to reduce the
potential conflicts during construction.

II. Permits
A. Need to identify on permit how the utility has been abandoned:
I. Abandoned in place or
2. Abandoned by removal.
This will help the contractor and the inspector during construction. Inspector has seen places
where the conduit is left in place and the new facilities are installed below in a different colored
conduit.
B. Need to submit a Right-of-Way Use permit prior to commencing and a Completion Verification
Notice when the relocations are complete.
III. Bethel Road II
Reconstruction of approximately 5,000 feet of 2 lane asphalt street from Freeport Parkway to
Denton Tap Road. New section will be 28' concrete with curb and gutter, improved drainage, and
sidewalk on both sides of the street trough "Old Town".
This project also includes reconstruction of Coppell Road from Bethel to Cooper Lane. Coppell
Road will be a 34' concrete street with curb and gutter, improved drainage, and sidewalk on both
sides of the street.
On street parking is included in the Old Town area along both streets.
Right of Way Acquisition is currently taking place. Construction is anticipated to begin by the 3rd
quarter of 2008.
IV. Coppell Road (from Sandy Lake Rd to Cooper Ln)
This project continues the construction of Coppell Road from Cooper Lane to Sandy Lake Road.
Coppell Road will be a 34' concrete street with curb and gutter, improved drainage, and sidewalk
on both sides of the street. The section in front of Wilson Elementary will be widened out to 37' to
accomodaye a center turn lane.
We are currently working on acquiring comer clips for curb ramps at the intersections. No
additional right of way is required. Construction is anticipated to begin by the 1 st quarter of 2008.
