The Coppell City Council
Tuesday authorized City Man-
ager Jim Witt to execute an
agreement for the transfer of ap-
proximately 9.4 City acres to the
Coppell Economic Development
Foundation for resale to Kolberg
Development, LLC for construc-
tion of The Village at Coppell.
The sale is expected to be com-
pleted in December, according
to City Economic Development
Director Mindi Hurley.
The property is on the east
side of S. Coppell Road, approxi-
mately 250 feet south of W.
Bethel Road. The development
will include two 21 ,050-square-
foot, two-story retail/hotel build-
ings; a 25,141-square-foot, two-
story event/conference center:

ported the variance. Mayor
Doug Stover cast a tie-break-
ing vote in support of the vari-
ance. Griffin explained that
work could not begin on the por-

FEMA approval is received.
In a related item concern-
ing the Alexander Court devel-
opment, after a lengthy presen-
tation by an attorney for the de-
veloper and rebuttal by City En-
gineer Griffin, the Council de-
clined to take action on the ma-
jority of requests for changes
