After I received your email, I sent the following underlined email to the state. The SH 121 project is
designed and constructed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). As my email shows,
we do not have a set of construction plans, the timetable is one year and the work will be seven days a
week.
When, or if, I receive some traffic information, it will be shared with the citizens via our web site,
Coppell Clips, and local newspapers.
In regards to the railroad crossing on Royal, the work is being performed by DART (they own the
track). The only traffic control will be diverting all traffic to one side of the road while the other side is
being repaired. Once that side is completed, the traffic will switch to that side and the other side will
be repaired. In essence, during the construction there will only be one lane in each direction, not two.
Construction should take about one month, with good weather.

Thanks for the update. After vour email, we provided the general timetable to our Council and
citizens. The main question now is: how will traffic be handled?
The onlv plan I have is a schematic from 2005 with CSJ#'s - CSJ:0364-02-017 & CSJ:0364-03-
064. Is there an actual construction set that will be sent to the city? Also, is there a traffic control
plan we can provide to our citizens?

Ken, I want to let vou know that the project to grade separate SH 121 @ Sandv Lake and Freeport
let last week. The Contractor is JD Abrams. The bid was around $ 24 million. The project is set up
to be completed in one vear. It's a seven dav calendar project.

Afternoon, reading Coppell Clips I see two new construction projects that will impact myself and my
co-workers getting to work on time without some preplanning. I work at the North Texas Postal
facility located at Royal and Bethel. I'm wondering if some notice of alternate routes will be given to
us? In the past I have helped co-workers figure out new routes when 635 was backed up. We
could use a heads up on this info since some of these drivers are older and also foreign and don't know
the streets in Coppell. I believe the number of our Human Resources department is 972-393-6309. We
have a digital information system in the entrance lobby. Appreciate your help with this. Thank you,
