Construction Plan Review Comments (2nd submittal)
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
General-
I. The cover sheet should be titled "Grapevine Springs Community Center"
2. Correct misspelling of Mayor- Doug Stover and City Council member Brianna Hinojosa-Flores.
Plat-
3. Label the 10' sidewalk/utility easement on sheet I.
4. Locate and label the flood plain on the plat.
Pavine Plan-
5. All subgrade should be 8" thick.
6. Pavement sections should include #3 Bars 18" OCEW, not 24" OCEW.
Gradine Plan-
7. Verify whether drainage path flows over trail. Ifso, may need to modify to include an additional
inlet and pipe in design.
The plans will be approved once these comments are addressed. The City of Coppell requires three sets
of final construction plans for its use; your office should submit as many additional sets for stamping as is
necessary for construction operations. We will issue a permit and perform construction inspection for
underground utilities and any portion of concrete construction we are requested to inspect. Please keep us
updated on the process including the name of the successful bidder so that we can issue the permit.

RE: Bethel Road I Project # ST 99-05
Storm Sewer Pipe Damage
Dear Mr. Caudill:
We received and reviewed video tapes today of storm sewer Lines A, B & C installed
during construction of the Bethel Road project. It is apparent from the video that there are
numerous locations in all three lines where damage has occurred. We feel the damage is
structural in nature. The total area of damage combined in all three lines encompasses
several hundred feet of pipe that is unacceptable in its current condition.
We suggest you factor the repairs into your concrete paving schedule as soon as possible.
Please respond at your earliest convenience with your plan to rectify this situation.
