Mr. Marvin,
On Friday 10-26-07 during sub-grade prep operations the Verizon phone line previously
relocated for construction was exposed and damaged. The phone line was to replace the
existing phone line in conflict, but was placed too shallow. This line was damaged at
Sta 32+42, but is in conflict with our sub-grade from the East end of the project to
approximately Sta 52+75 where the line crosses Bethel Rd.
We request credit for contract time from 10-26-07 to when Verizon is clear and sub-
grade operations can resume. We will remain onsite working but we are limited to items
that do not allow us to move forward with the project until this is resolved.
