RE: Review of DFW Plans for Royal Lane Improvements Phase 2,
Royal Lane from 635 South
Dear Mr. Bick:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the plans provided for the Royal Lane improvements
South of 63 5 and has the following comments to offer:
1. The City ofCoppell is limited in it's impact by this plan, it basically stops at our
southern boundary. We are concerned about the driveway into the gas station
convenience store at the SE corner of the intersection of Royal Lane and 635. Currently
they have only one driveway in and out, if median access is closed off in front of that
business our Fire Department will have a difficult time responding to emergency calls at
that location.
2. The water improvements show to place a fire hydrant in front of that same business at
SE corner of Royal Lane and 635. There is already a Coppell fire hydrant at this
location. Please move that fire hydrant to the west side of the road or eliminate it all
together.
The City of Coppell appreciates the opportunity to review these plans and look forward to
