RE: Woodside Village, Drainage Improvement Options
Dear Ms. DanesPceand:
Enclosed for your use are proposals received from contractors to construct the
referenced drainage improvements. These improv~r~nts w~uld be in the form of a
concrete culvert, either a conventional Texas State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation box culvert or a gunite "Airform" arch culvert. The
limits of the improvements v~uld be from Sandy Lake Road to the existing box
culvert at Willow Lane near the southeast corner of the High School tract.
Bids were received from Buckelew Construction Co., Inc. to construct the
conventional box culvert, and frc{n Dallas Concrete, Inc. to construct the
Airform culvert. Please note that Dallas Concrete also bid the construction of
the conventional culvert at the s~ne cost as the Airformculvert.
The bids received ere enclosed for inclusion in the City Council packets.
Please note that the total devel~t costs for the culvert have been
calculated, by adding to the construction costs, the costs for previous and
anticipated engineering and geotechnical services associated with the design of
the culvert, either paid or to be paid, by Connell Development Co.
