Pursuant to the City Council's request of April 27, 1990, Cconell Develop~_nt
Co. and Pacheco Koch are proceeding with the preparation of construction cost
estimates for both a conventional Texas State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation 10' x 8' box culvert and a Airform Gunite box culvert. The
estimates for both options will be for improving the entire length of the
existing sv~le from Sandy Lake Road to Willow Lane as an enclosed culvert.
We have, at the city's suggestion, contacted Dallas Ccocrete, Inc. regarding
the estimate for the Airform culvert. They in turn are proceeding with the
preparation of a construction cost estimate. However, the preparation of this
estimate requires the manufacturer of the Airforms to prepare a schematic
design for this culvert. Dallas Concrete expects to c~;~lete their estimate,
based on the schematic design, by May 3, 1990. We will submit estimates for
both options to the City as soon as possible after receipt of the Airform
estimates.
