This is to inform you of .the status o.f th~Oak Trall Drainage Project. As we dxscussed, on _J~--_.2., .1991, the Contractor, M-S Utilities, discovered a conflict between an existing 6-inch fire hydrant lead and the grade of the proposed storm sewer. In addition, there is potentially a point of conflict with a second fire hydrant lead. M-S Utilities submitted a proposal (copy enclosed) of $3,669.60 to lower the water line at the known point of conflict. It is our recommendation that, if available, City forces be utilized to do this work. We feel that this would be more economical, especially if a second conflict exists. M-S Utilities has notified us by letter that they will be pulling off the job on July 9, 1991, pending a decision by the city. We await your direction on this issue. If you need additional information on this matter, please let us know.
