Construction Plan Review Comments (2nd submittal)
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
General
1. A portion of the drawings are missing on various plans.
2. Concrete for pavement and drainage structures should have a compressive strength of 3600
psi instead of 3500 psi.
Plat
3. Include a 20' easement for the fire hydrant east of building D.
Demolition Plan
4. Coordinate with Fire Department concerning the demolition of driveway.
Dimension Control and Pavin2. Plan
5, Contractor must submit a traffic control plan to the City of Coppell before beginning
construction in the roadway.
6. Turn bay must be constructed on Freeport Parkway off the middle driveway.
7. Concrete pavement rebar must be spaced 18" on center.
Drainaee Area Map
8. Show all crossings where necessary on the profiles, include the station location.
9. Label existing inlets.
Water and Sewer Plan
10. The fire hydrant north of Building 0 is on a dead end of more than 150', tie fire lane into
existing water line to create a 100p.(C26)
11. The spacing of valves on water line is over 500' on sheet C27.
12. All detector checks need to be 8".
13. Should the 1-1 Y2" domestic meter be an irrigation meter instead? (C29)
14. FDC connections need to be 50' from the fire hydrant on the same side of the fire lane as the
hydrant. FDC shall not be located in or on structures, including buildings. The FDC shall be
installed in accordance with the City of Coppell Engineering Standards and Details.

Fire Department Comments
16. Ensure that the existing and proposed fire hydrants are not feeding off the fire pump.
There may be additional comments throughout the plans that may need to be addressed. Please
make the necessary changes and submit these marked-up plans and two sets of revised plans
to the City for review. If you have any questions, or would like to meet with the staff to discuss
