FROM: Glenn Hitt, P.E. ~ DATE: July 12, 1990 SUBJECT: Oak Trail Drainage A meeting was held at 1:30 p.m., July 11, 1990, in the office of Shohre Daneshmand. In attendance: Shohre Daneshmand, P.E. Larry Davis Per Birdsall Glenn Hitt, P.E. - City of Coppell - city of Coppell - City of Coppell - DS&T The following items were discussed: 1. TWO alignments were discussed for the proposed storm sewer pipe in Willoway Lane: Option I would route the storm sewer between the pavement and north R.O.W. to avoid a conflict with the existing sanitary sewer. This option would require less removal and replacement of pavement but would take longer because there are more utilities to relocate. option II would align approximately in the center of the pavement. It would cost approximately $700 more than Option I but could beconstructed more quickly. In order to resolve a conflict with the existing sanitary sewer, a storm sewer manhole would be constructed through which the sanitary sewer line would pass in a ductile iron section. DS&T will estimate the cost of an option to increase the size of the proposed storm sewer pipe to accommodate ultimate runoff from OA-2 and OA-4 as designated on the Coppell High School Drainage Area Map. This was designated as option 3 in the Oak Trail Drainage report prepared by DS&T and dated January, 1990. Ms. Shohre Daneshmand, P.E. July 12, 1990 Page 2 After receiving cost data on all options, Coppell will notify DS&T of their preference so that final plans may be prepared. 4. The pavement replacement section on Willoway Lane shall be: a. Compacted subgrade b. Six-inch crushed stone base c. Two-inch asphaltic concrete 5. The contract documents shall provide for: a. Ail testing will be at the Contractor's expense. b. All construction staking including control points shall be at the Contractor's expense. 6. As per the proposal, DS&T will prepare the plans and contract documents. Coppell will then advertise and bid the project. 7. The city's purchasing agent, Jim Ragsdale, shall be included in the bidding process. 8. DS&T will prepare a field note description for the required easement. Coppell will negotiate the easement with the property owner and file the easement. This is our understanding of items discussed. If participants disagree, please notify DS&T as soon as possible.
