City to Host Public Meeting on

partment will
host a public
meeting. on
Tuesday, April
15, to present
the reconstruc-
tion plans for
Coppell Road
from Cooper
Lane to Sandy
Lake. The
meeting will be
held at Wilson
Elementary, .

Road, begin-
ning at 7;00
p.mBecause of Coppe" Road lane closure alternate route map
construction, traffic patterns will be al-
tered. Beginning south of Cooper Lane
and extending to Sandy Lake, the road
will be limited to one-way traffic in the
northbound direction only for the dura-
tion of the reconstruction. Anticipated
start date for construction is June 9, 2008
and work is expected to last 12 months.
Plans for reconstruction include re-
moving the existing 24-foot wide road-
. way and replacing it with a 34-foot wide,
concrete street with curbs and improved
drainage. The "barrow ditches" along the
side of the road will be filled in and side-
walks will be constructed the entire length

of the project. The sidewalk along
the east side of the road will be four-
feet wide while the sidewalk on the
west side of the roadway will be
eight-feet in width.
Detour routes will be provided.
City staff will be available at the
meeting to answer questions.
