1. This addendum modifies and extends the requirements of the plans and construction
specifications for the above referenced project.
2. Staple this addendum to the inside of the rear cover of the construction specifications or bind
it into the construction specifications at the end of the Bid Proposal.
3. Note receipt of all addenda on the Bid Form located in the Bidding Documents, and also on
the outside cover of the envelope containing the Bid Documents.
CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS

For Bid Item Numbers 8, 9 & 10 change the Unit of measure from Square Yards (S.Q.) to
Square Feet (S.F.). The quantities remain the same.

GENERAL INFORMATION
L Trees to be removed on the project shall be removed by the City of Coppell and should
be gone by the start of construction.
2. Computerized bid fOnTIS will not be accepted.
3. The removal of concrete flume shall be paid for under Pay Item #5 - Remove and
Dispose of Concrete Pavement.
4. Complete road closures will not be allowed at any time during the duration of the
contract.
5. When traffic is reduced to one lane and on-way northbound, the minimum width travel
lane shall be 10 feet in width. If additional pavement is needed to maintain this width
HMAC pavement shall be used and paid for under Pay Item #15 - Temporary HMAC
Pavement. The use of this material shall be approved by the City prior to placement.
6. The Third Edition of the North Central Texas Council of Governments Standard
Specifications for Public Works Construction shall govern tor this project. Any requests
to deviate from this or any other section of the contract shall be made by the successful
bidder in writing under the provisions of the contract.
7. The compacted embankment quantity for the project has been estimated at 2, 570 cubic
yards.
8. On Construction Plan Sheet P-3 the note to "Install Cast Iron Cleanout' is deleted. A
new sanitary sewer main is being constructed along with new service laterals that include
cleanouts.
9. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining and relocating the School Zone
Flashing Signs during construction. The relocation of the signs shall be paid for under
Pay Item #25 - Road Sign Supports and Assemblies (Relocation).
END OF ADDE0IDUM NO. ONE
This addendum fOnTIS a part of the contract documents. The original Contract Documents and
any prior addenda remain in full force and effect except as modified herein which shall take
precedence over any contrary provisions in the prior documents.
