RE: Northlake Woodlands East lOA (Alley Repair)
Mr. Knight,
At your request, the City of Coppell has investigated the alley behind your house for drainage
deficiencies. The city will repair a portion of the alley and the portion of your drive approach in
the city right-of-way that seems to drain inadequately. This repair should reduce the amount of
runoff onto your property from the alley, but will not completely eliminate water from entering
your back yard.
Your house is 10 feet below the properties to the north, so their drainage has always drained
toward your property. In order to reduce the impact of future runoff into your backyard, you
should explore ways to accept and drain the runoff through your property. For example,
modifying the drainage in your driveway with a trench drain at the bottom of your driveway with
a pye pipe that runs to the front of your property may provide some relief.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
'X~~
