Dear Mr. Barrett:
I've received your June 26, 1989 letter regarding your area drainage. As
we discussed on the phone a couple of times, we have to identify the
problem by reviewing records and drainage and make a preliminary
assessment of the situation with a preliminary cost estimation. We then
have to compile this drainage improvement need with all those awaiting
funding; prioritize them, and make recommendations when funding is
available.
When authorized we can have an engineering study and design conducted that
will more accurately define construction costs, advertize for bids from
contractors, award the bid, then build the recommended and designed
improvements.
As we discussed this is not a short quick process and hope you will bear
with us in pursuin§ a solution to your area drainage. Your assistance has
been appreciated and helpful.
We have currently reviewed this situation and considered alternatives and
are looking at one or two others. We will get a rough estimate of costs
then post the results with the city wide list of projects and carry on
from there.
