RE: Unbalanced Sidewalk
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Obaid:
Thank you for your letter dated May 5, which was delivered to the office of the Mayor on
that same date. Based on the pictures you submitted, the sidewalk shown is not the
responsibility of the city ofCoppell, but is actually a private sidewalk within the confines
of your property. The City is responsible only for the sidewalk closest to the street. That
is why that sidewalk has been clearly marked for repair.
I would suggest that you contact an appropriate contractor to take proper steps to correct
the sidewalk problems that exist on your property. The City cannot do work on private
property, and has no legal or fiscal responsibility to take such action. We certainly concur
with your concerns regarding potential flooding of your property, but have no legal
mechanism to address those repairs.

Respected Mayor,
It is an honor and privilege to have a corresponding conversation with you and the other city
council members you are all truly devoted and honest to your jobs.
Dear Sir, this application is in regard for repairing the sidewalk of my house which comes under
the city of Coppell. We had requested earlier a couple of times to have it repaired because after
every rain we have water flooded in front of our house and the water comes in at the time of
heavy flooded rain and severe weather, and we secure the our front door from the rain water so
that it does not come inside the house. Since we have a single story house it is scary and
terrifying to see water come into the house.
Since last year I have requested to resolve this problem but the contractors have just marked the
city sidewalk and did not return to fix it since then. I have attached a couple of photographs to
indicate the major problem we face when it rains heavily and how things could get worse and
now the sidewalk in front of my house has lost the balance of it's concede position, due to which
the water settles heavily in front of our house.
Respected Mayor and other members of the council, I am sincerely hoping that you 'II will look
into this matter and understand my situation and help me resolving this severe problem of mine.
So that I may not end up having major problems during rainy season.
