Permits A. Need to identify on permit how the utility has been abandoned: 1. Abandoned in place or 2. Abandoned by removal. This will help the contractor and the inspector during construction. Inspector has seen places where the conduit is left in place and the new facilities are installed below in a different colored conduit. B. Need to submit a Right-of-Way Use permit prior to commencing and a Completion Verification Notice when the relocations are complete. III. Coppell Road STOO-03 (from Sandy Lake Rd to Cooper Ln.) This project is under construction. Oncor and Atmos have been on site relocating their facilities. Verizon? Time Warner? Any other conflicts? IV. Bethel Road II ST03-01 (penfolds Drive to Denton Tap Road) Right of way acquisition will be complete upon the filing of one document with Dallas County. We redesigned the transition close to Denton Tap to avoid one parcel of Right of Way. This project will go out to bid this summer, and we anticipate construction beginning shortly thereafter. We are requesting that you begin relocation of utilities in conflict with the proposed construction at this time. (Freeport Parkway to Pen folds Drive) We are continuing to acquire Right of Way through Old Town, and we anticipate construction will begin during the second quarter of 2009 for Bethel Road from Freeport to Penfolds, and Coppell Road from Bethel to Cooper. V. Coppell Road South ST07-02 (Bethel Road to Southwestern Blvd.) This project consists of reconstructing the existing 24' asphalt paving to a 34' concrete street. A considerable amount of on street parking will be provided. 15 feet of additional right of way has been dedicated on each side of the street to accommodate this widening. This project has been pushed back to a first quarter 2009 construction date due to ongoing discussions with the prospective developer of the adjacent property. VI. Deforest Road ST 05-01 (MacArthur Blvd. to Windsor Estates) This project is in the early stages of design. A preliminary drawing is available to review and discuss during this meeting. Plans will be available at the next utility coordination meeting. Construction is anticipated to begin during the first quarter of2009. VII. Freeport Parkway ST 05-02A (Ruby Road to Sandy Lake) This project is in the early stages of design. A preliminary drawing is available to review and discuss during this meeting. Considerable Right of Way will be needed for this project. Plans will be available at the next utility coordination meeting. Construction is anticipated to begin during the 2nd quarter 2009. VIII. Southwestern Blvd. ST 07-01 (Coppell Road to Denton Tap) Plans are being finalized on this project. The construction is intended to take place under one contract from Coppell Road to Beltline/ Denton Tap. All right of way is in place. Construction will begin pending resolution to utility conflicts and final funding agreements with the adjacent developer. IX. Sandy Lake Road ST 99-02 (Coppell Road North to Denton Tap) 2 Preliminary plans have been submitted for TxDOT review due to their participation in funding the portion from Coppell Road North to Coppell Road South. Right of Way acquisition will begin this summer. Final plans will be available by the end of the year. X. Traffic Signal Projects Plans are in design for a new traffic signal at East Sandy Lake Road and Riverchase Drive. Replacement traffic signals will be constructed along Denton Tap Road at Sandy Lake and at Beltline. No relocations are anticipated for these projects, however power service will be required for the new signal, and adjustments to the existing service may be required at the two replacement locations. XI. Denton Tap Sidewalk Project Plans are at the 65% design for this sidewalk infill project from SH 121 to Beltline Road. The proposed walk will meander around most obstructions; however a few locations may need a guy wire moved, or a pedestal shifted to meet ADA requirements.
