Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Kellie:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the plans submitted for the Petterson Addition
and has the following comments to offer:
General Notes
1. The contractor must submit a traffic control plan 48 hrs. prior to any construction in the
roadway. (Sandy Lake Rd.)
2. Remove sheets containing standard details. The contractor will be required to have a set
of the city standard construction details on site at all times.
Storm Drain Plan-
3. Continue a concrete flume to the alley from the headwall instead of rock rip rap. Install
rock riprap around concrete flume.
Storm Drain Plan -
4. Revise the plan to match the profile. (SDR-26 160 PSI)
Water Plan-
S. Refer to the City of Coppell subdivision ordinance. All water services should be 1" type
K copper, and no compression fittings allowed. The contractor is required to paint the
fire hydrant, not the city.
The City of Coppell has reviewed the revised plans for the referenced addition and with the
comments above addressed, they will be approved.
The City of Coppell requires three sets of final construction plans for its use; your office should
submit as many additional sets for stamping as is necessary for construction operations. All
contractors and subcontractors on site must have a copy of the plans approved by the City of
Coppell along with a copy of the City's standard construction details.

All fees must be paid prior to release of this project for construction. The City charges a 2%
inspection fee for all private construction outside the building's footprint. This includes dirt
work, paving, storm drains, water lines, sewer lines, drainage pipes, etc. that are private. For all
installations in the public right-of-way or easement, the City charges a 4% fee. A check for
inspection fees made to the City of Coppell should be submitted to this office along with the
Construction Development Permit Application and a copy of the Construction Site Notice. For
your convenience a spreadsheet is attached to the permit application for use in calculating the
inspection fees. A copy of the contract(s) should be attached for verification purposes. If you
