Thanks Glenn.
I agree best left between Verizon and Abovenet.

Phil Hoover works for Abovenet Fiber. He thinks that Joe Deleon with Gloeckler is not taking enough
precautions while boring next to his fiber. Gloeckler is a sub for Verizon. I did not know Trevino was the
right person for him to talk to or not. Either way, I do not think we need to get very involved in this problem.
Sounds like a private matter to me. I have had to deal with Joe of Gloeckler before and do not have a very
high opinion of him. Seems to me that if Phil is worried about his line getting hit that maybe he should be
out there potholing it.

Who is Phil Hoover?
Is Verizon taking chances with their own stuff or someone elses?
If Mr. Hoover is with another utility company, we should put him in touch with Rick Trevinio from Verizon to
address his concerns.

Phil Hoover called City Manager's office and also Glenn Hollowell to complain about Verizon "taking
chances" with their broadband facilities (in Freeport, Bethel and Royal) by not pot-holing the area before
they dig. I talked to Glenn about it & he said he would call Rick O'Dell to see what was going on. It may
be a whole lot of nothing or it could be an issue where the police get called again: (
