Russell Doyle reported that the Dept. of Public Works has
reviewed the report and has no comments.
Paul Lipscomb mentioned that Public Works knowledge of the
operation of the drlnage system could be a key factor in the
final design of the project.
Larry Davis stated that several practical issues (ingress/
egress, garbage collection, etc.) must be addressed in
scheduling the construction.
4. The report was reviewed and found to be generally
acceptable to the City staff present.
5. The possibility of using curb inlets rather than grate inlets
was discussed. We agreed that the curb inlets would work
better from a hydraulic and maintenance standpoint; however.
we identified several complications associated with their use:
(a) A curb would have to be constructed in the areas where
the inlets were required.

(b) The inlets would have to be spaced between driveways.
(c) The grading of the alley would be more complex.
It was agreed that Larry Davis and Dave Lucado will meet at
the site with the survey notes and discuss the possible use
of curb inlets, This meeting will be scheduled for the middle
of next week, Larry Davis will ask a representative of
Public Works to attend,
