SAM Engineering & Testing, L.P. (SE&T) is pleased to submit this addendum
letter on the proposed pavement section at the subject site.
1. Background
SE&T performed the seven soil test borings soil report for the subject
project (SE&T #169GX4K8 dated 5-14-2008) containing our recommendations on
selection, designs & construction of the proposed four residences &
pavement.
2. Paving plan #C30 by Hamilton-Duffy and e-mail by Mr. Tommy Cansler
showed the proposed pavement section Gomprising of the following minimum
thicknesses from the-surface down:

thick pavestone pavers.
thick sand base.
thick 3600 psi concrete with #3 rebars @ 18" a/c.
thick subgrade compacted to 95% of ASTM D698A.

3. Based on the above supplied section, our above subsurface data & our
experience with similar projects, SE&T recommends that the above
proposed pavement is considered SATISFACTORY with the following
modifications/adjustments:
The concrete to be a 4,000 psi/28 days (6 sack minimum).
The upper 12" of the sugrade under the pavement should be compacted &
tested to a minimum of 95 % of ASTM D-698A.
SE&T should perform all CMT testing & inspections.
4. All other listed recommendations in our above soil report should be
followed.
