Staff has researched the files in Public Works and were unable to find
any letter received from Mr. Hamrick documenting flooding complaints
at the above referenced location prior to the recent flooding. St~aff
did locate phone messages which were responded to back in 1986 which
resulted in inspection of the storm sewer inlet near the address and
concrete grinding in the alleyway to' alleviate the ponding in the alley.
Mr. Hamrick called on July 13, 1988 to report the problem of the alley
not draining and water standing in driveway and flooding his garage
as a result of the heavy rains received July 12, 1988. City forces
did respond and inspected the storm drainage in the area and found.
no obstruction.
