RE: Property at the northeast comer of Moore Road and Sandy Lake Road
Dear Ms. Austin:
On April 25, 1994, the Coppell Municipal Utility District No. 1 made a motion to dissolve. The
City will be assuming the operation and maintenance of all improvements.
On April 26, 1994, the City Council authorized the Engineering Department to proceed with the
design of a project to be known as the Moore Road Parallel Sanitary Sewer Project (SS 94-01)
to alleviate capacity problems in the Lodge Road and the Phillips Road sanita~, sewer systems.
Basically, this line will start at the intersection of Moore and Parkway and proceed in a northerly
direction to the north end of Moore Road near Denton Creek. Attached to this letter is a copy
of a plan view of the general location of the proposed sanitary sewer line.
A second part of the sanitary sewer project will be the construction of a sewer line to intercept
a portion of the flow at the intersection of Moore Road and Sandy Lake Road. This line will
generally flow in a easterly direction from Moore Road and then northerly along the east
property line of the referenced property connecting to an existing sanitary sewer line. With
Council funding for the construction, it is anticipated that this project could be completed within
a 9 to 12 month time frame.
