The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe:
1. The placement of 10 cubic yards of 4000 psi concrete for for stamped concrete paving ath the
intersection of Bethel and Freeport.
The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 3-5 inches, air content of 4.5-6%,
batch to placement time of <90 minutes, and concrete temperature range of <90 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications
with regard to temperature, slump, and batch to placement time. The air content was less than
the project specifications.
The following samples were obtained for compressive strength testing in our laboratory:
SetA:
1 set of 6 lab cylinders (4000 psi) for paving
NOTE: The undersigned called Mr. O'Dell when leaving for the site at 10:00am. Mr. O'Dell said
the pour was beginning at 11 :OOam. Upon arriving on-site at 1 0:30am, the undersigned saw that
the pour had begun. 1 set of 6 cylinders was cast. After the report was uploaded, Mr. O'Dell
called to request a 3-day break on Friday.
