The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe:
1. The placement of 90 cubic yards of 3600 psi concrete for paving.
2. The placement of 10 cubic yards of 4000 psi concrete for Elevated Slab culvert top.
The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 4-6 inches, air content of 4.5-6%,
batch to placement time of <90 minutes.
Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications
with regard to temperature, air content, and batch to placement time. Slump of both samples
exceeded project specifications.
The following samples were obtained for compressive strength testing in our laboratory:
Set A:
1 set of 4 lab cylinders (3600 psi) for paving
Set B:
1 set of 4 lab cylinders (4000 psi) for Elevated Slab, box culvert top
