Thank you for your recent note to the Mayor concerning the spelling of "Kimbel Kourt".
The spelling of "Kourt" definitely does not seem to be correct. However, when land is
developed in Coppell, the streets are created and named by a process called "platting the
property". In the case of "Kimbel Kourt", when the developer "platted" the property in
1977, he chose to spell "Court" with a "K" in an attempt to make the street name look
fancier.
Again, thanks for taking the time to investigate the spelling of "Kourt". In the past, we
have made mistakes on some of our signs. So keep your eyes open and make sure we do
our job right.
