Storm Water Utility Program
You requested a name of an individual to represent the Public
Works Department as part of the Storm Water Utility Committee.
The purpose of this program is to offset the cost of future
drainage projects.
I shared with you some background on how this project came about.
I'd like for the Committee to also explore the possibility of the
Storm Water Utility Program covering the cost for operations and
maintenance with regard to drainage and other drainage related
issues.
I would like the opportunity to meet with the Committee as they
formulate their recommendations. It would be my preference to
actually be on the committee myself, but time will not allow.
Therefore, I've asked Rey to represent the Public Works
Department on this committee.
I would like to thank you and Ken for moving forward on this
project. I know that this is an important element in future
drainage improvements throughout the City.
