Residents of Meedowridge Condominiums have entpefienced enu~ss~e storm nmoff from the Lee Elementary School site through the southwest comer of their property. Both the r--~id~mts of Towncreek H apatiments and the property owner to the south (Austin) have comp~-Imxl of heavy storm nmoff overflows through these properties. Other area residents have complained of heavy street flooding on both Moore Road and Samuel Boulevard. Summa~ of Data Site development plans for Meadowridge - Phase 1,/nd"ding drainage, v~re lm:ated. Pavin~ and drainage plnns for Moore Road and the eustem one-half of Samuel Boulevard were also located. The Austin and Univest properties along Sandy Lake Road are undeveloped. 3. Annl~/s of Ex/sting Conditions Based on interviews, field reconnaissance, and es/sting dr~inn~e plans, an analysis of the existing conditions was made. The analysis indicates that although a underground storm drain connection was available, the Lee Elementary School site drainage was allowed to flow o~rland into the ~ Condominiums. In addition, the school and its parking lot were drained reward ~amuel Boulevard, allhou~h there are no storm sewer inlels in Samuel to handle this runofl~ Furthermore, Snmaul Boulevard is coustruct~l with very fiat slopes just south of parkway Boulevard. Consequently, ~uHer cep~city in this area is ve~ small. The flooding of the Austin property has incrcused due to thc ur~ni~tion of file areas south of Sandy I ~ke Road. Provisions for a portion of tl~ drainage were made in the s~orm sewer between MeadowridRe and Towncreek II Apertmems. However, inlet facilities for the offsite drnlun~c we~ not installed when the Towncreek II Apamnen~s were built but a wall was built ac~ss the flow 10ruth, thus aggravating the problem. Flo~s arc diverted west and overtax the gutters and inlets in Moore Road. 4. Proposed Solutions As shown on Figure VH-12, a 'Y' inlet and storm drain ~xamsion is proposed at the northwest comer of the Lee Elementa~ School site. in addition, a storm sewer slmuld be eomuq~ted uloa~ ti~ nn~h property linc of the school site, where two ten-foot inlets are proposed m reduce s~reet floodi~ in ~muel Boulevard. As an interim solution to the Austin, Town Creek H almmnants and Moore Road flot~ng a inlet could be connected to this same system.
