Dear Sir:
We propose to substitute two (2) additions3 inches of concrete
paving in lieu of the 6" lime stabilization that was specified.
We believe this would be an equal design and would save the City
time and money. The savings would be as follows:
1) Two extra inches of concrete
1,194 SY ~ $5.00/sy
$5,970.00
2) Delete lime stab on Shadowcrest
334 SY @ $15.00/sy

3) Delete lime on Shadowcrest
4.5 Tons @ Sl00.00/ton ( 450.00)
4) Delete lime stab. on Woodhurst
860 S¥ ~ $10 00/sy
(8,600.00)

Delete lime on Woodhurst
11.6 Tons @ $100.00/ton
Net Savings:

Also by eliminating the lime stabilization, this would gave two to
thr~e weeks on time, presenting less oonstruction inconvenience for
the citizens.
~owever, if the City ohooses not to select thig proposal, we
reque~% permission to substitute 6" cement treated base for the 6"
lime stabilization. Though this would not represent a cost
savings, it will save several days on time.
