RE: Coppell/Bethel Signal Deaign and Construction
Dear Mr. Griffin:
On Monday, March 8, 1993, the contractor (Arjang Electric Systems) drilled and poured the
foundations for the future signal located at the Coppell Road/Bethel Road intersection in
Coppell, Texas, Due to conflicting utility locations, the signal pole foundations were located
within a few feet from the locations designed in the engineering plans. While at the site on
Monday, a man (I believe it could have been the owner) from the Texaco located on the
southeast corner of the intersection approached me and Garreth Campbell of the City of
Coppell. The man stated "What a strange place to locate a signal." I did not feel I could
respond, since contacting the adjacent land owners was not in our scope and I had no
knowledge of what the City may have already discussed with adjacent land owners.
