Several Items in the Northeast part of the city
Ken, I would like to get some information on the follows items.
1. What is the current schedule for design and construction for the
replacement of the Deforest Lift Station?
2. The Denton Creek channel in the area of McArthur Blvd has a large amount
of tall vegetation in the channel bottom. How much does this effect the
capacity of the channel and is there a plan for removing the vegetation?
3. Is there a schedule for fixing the street lights on McAudhur between HWY
121 and Denton Creek? Including the light on the bridges.
4. Is there a schedule for painting the metal rails on the McArthur Blvd
bridges over Denton Creek and the Channel?
5. The street signs at the intersection of HWY 121 and McArfhur Blvd still
say "Spur 553" can the city take action to have these replaced with signs
that say "HWY121"?
In the scheme of things I recognize that these may be small items. However,
the concentration of these in a small area along McArthur Blvd makes the
area look neglected. I am working with Brad Reid on additional landscaping
in the medium between Glen Lakes and Deforest and I am working with the
Waterford at Lake Park Homeowners Association on improvements around the
lift station and to the Glen Lakes and Deforest entry into Waterford. In an
effort to improve the aesthetics of McArthur Blvd I would like your
assistance in addressing the items listed above.
One other Item I would like to see the City address is the straighten of
traffic and street signs. Throughout the city there is a lot of these signs
that are leaning. While my neighbor and I have straighten most of the ones
in our area I don't see us going on a crusade around town. Would it be
possible to have this work done using summer hire labor?
