zoning change request from
Manara Academy Charter
School for a school. kindergar-
ten through eighth grade. with

Site of the proposed school is
the old Christ Our Savior
Lutheran Church building and
property on 4.58 acres located

lost a battle with a rare genetic

400 students on the same campus.
The request is being made by
Sakek Shai, Manara Academy. If
approved, the church shall also be
permitted to remain as a secondary
use on the property.
According to the City, the re-
quest has already gone through the
Development Review process and
traffic studies have been conducted.
The request will then come be-
fore the City Council in early June.
The Texas State Board of Edu-
cation approves charter schools,
which are public and funded by tax-
payers.
