BE YT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C~[~NIL OF THE CITY F COPPELL, TEA: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 9443 of the City of Coppell, Texas as heretofore arr~ended be and the same is hereby amended by amending Appendix , ~ect~on I, paragraph E~1}~} to provide standards ft~r asphalt paving in the designated Historical Overlay honing District to read as follows: "~j} Parking lots shall be constructed of a minimurr~ 5 inch concrete on a prepared slime or cement modified} subrade with adequate surface drainage. All fire lanes shall be constructed of ~ inch concrete on a prepared slime or cement modified} subrade with adequate surface drainage. Additional requirements on the subgrade are set t~orth an paragraph ~r~{E}~l}~a}. Asphalt will not he permitted for either parking lots or fire lanes. However, in the Hlstor~c Overlay ~on~ng District asphalt pavement will be allowed when authorised by a Special ~Jse Permit ~~~JP} approved by the City Council. Pavement shall he a minimum of 4 inch ~2 inch Type '>~' asphalt and 2 inch Type 'D' asphalt} on a prepared ~lirne or cement modified} subgrade with adequate surface drainage. Asphalt paverr~ent, on a prepared {lime or cernent modified} subrade with adequate surface drainage, in fire ~ lanes shall be able to support a concentrated load of 40,00 pounds. An alternative concrete or asphalt pavement design nay be sub~tted to the City for review by the City Engineer If the City Engineez determines the alternative design 1S acceptable then the alternative design may be used. Additional requirements on the subgrade are set forth in paragraph ~r~~l~}~1}~a},„ SECTION 2. That all ordinances and provlslans of the Ordinances of the City of Coppell, Texas in canfl~ct with the prov~s~ons of this ordinance be, and the carne are hereby, repealed, and all other provisions n~~t ~n conflict with the prov~slons of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. ETI~N .
