Contractor Licensing Agreement (2) CONTRACTOR LICENSING AGREEMENT
The following provisions are a Licensing Agreement with respect to the North Central Texas
Council of Governments' (NCTCOG) 2009 digital orthophotography between:
Freese & Nichols and City of Coppell
Contractor Entity Name
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing to either NCTCOG or the Entity, only the indicated
contractor has authorized use of the NCTCOG data product. A contractor shall be deemed
authorized to use the data products by the Entity or NCTCOG if such use is incidental to a
larger relationship between the contractor and the Entity. The data shall be used for purposes
no greater than reasonably needed to achieve the objectives of an actual project undertaken in
connection with that relationship. The contractor must agree in writing to be bound by the
provisions of this Agreement.
The contractor also agrees to return all NCTCOG data back to the Entity, or to destroy said
data, after completion of the project. This data may not be used for other projects or
presentations unless written permission is obtained from either the Entity or NCTCOG.
Execution of this Agreement signifies that the contractor understands the restrictions of use for
the NCTCOG data product, as well as the return of all said data, or destruction of same, upon
completion of work for the Entity. It is the responsibility of the Entity to supply the data to the
contractor. However, if requested, NCTCOG will provide copies of the data to the
contractor for a fee of $100.00 per CD or $250.00 per DVD, payable by the requesting
Entity or its designated Contractor.

GIS Data Distribution Agreement
between the Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD)
Dallas Central
Appraisal District
and City of Coppell (ENTITY)
The digital geographic features (parcel polygons, platted lines, subdivision boundaries, etc. hereinafter
referred to as "geography, ") developed by the DCAD are provided, without warranty of any kind, to the
taxing entities that the DCAD serves, as a service to them for their internal purposes.
An entity may use the geography so provided for its internal users subject to the entity's written
agreement to the following restrictions:
A. The geography must be held by the entity as privileged data. The entity must take all prudent
precautions to prevent the dissemination of the geography and may not release, disclose, assign,
sell, or otherwise make available the geography to any other party except as required by law.
Entity shall keep confidential the geography and will take all reasonable precautions to prevent
the geography from being copied or reproduced, in whole or in part, by any person, firm or
corporation at any time without the written consent of DCAD.
B. The geography may not be resold or distributed to any other party.
C. Internet access for any other party to the geography is not allowed.
D. The geography must be deleted from all computer systems and computer data storage at the time
the computer /storage is no longer used by the entity; however, results of projects or research
(printed maps or data summaries, for instance) may be retained.
E. Modification of, or derivation from, the geography by the entity, shall not change the proprietary
nature of the geography, nor relieve them of compliance with their agreement to these
restrictions.
F. The geography may be shared with private contractors or consultants, for work on specific
projects for the entity, only if the entity secures a signed agreement in advance from the
contractor /consultant affirming that they will abide by the conditions of this agreement.
G. Entity will not hold DCAD liable for any omissions or errors contained in the geography. DCAD
does not warrant the accuracy of the information to be provided to the Entity under the terms of
this Agreement.
