Land Use Statement & exhibits Sprint PCS/Coppell Independent School District
Land Use Statement
November, 1999
Site: This site is the site of Coppell Middle School and
Coppell Independent School District administrative
facilities. It is on the south side of Wrangler Road
approximately 2200 feet west of Belt Line Road. The site is
2,900 feet from LBJ Freeway. These distances exceed the
minimum suggested distances from divided roadways for PCDS
telecommunications towers.
Zoning: The property is zoned "C" Commercial and is
surrounded by property zoned ~LI" Light Industrial.
Use: The property is used for a middle school and
administrative school facilities. Property around the site
is used for warehousing and light manufacturing.
Request: This request is for a Special Use Permit for a
Radio, television or microwave tower. The structure will be
built to accommodate Sprint PCS antennas and Coppell
Independent School District two way radio antennas. The
site at the school district property is practical in that
the school district wants its antennas on ~ property, the
collocation aspect is positive in that Sprint' PCS needs to
be in this area and is working with the school district to
construct a structure that will serve it and the School
District.
Benefit: The benefit of this project is that needs of two
separate entities are being met through cooperation of the
two. The antenna structure will be in a location that is
over a mile from the nearest residential development and
zoning.

All customer antenna feeds and any customer alarms enter/exit the RE through access
holes located in the front of the enclosure below the door or in the rear of the enclosure,
A sealing cover and cover plate will be provided to allow the customer to either exit the
cabinet into a cable tray or conduit.
In the side-by-side configuration all cables from an external battery cabinet will pass
through the RE through the lower left and right access holes from right to left. In the
remote scenario the battery cables will be routed directly into the base of the DEl. The
adjacent installation configuration is illustrated in Figure 3.
