City Planner for City of Coppell
RE: Sprint PCS Project Number DA54XC329--Andrew Brown Community Park Central
Coppell Case # S- 1195 Sprint PCS
Project Address: 364 North Denton Tap Road, Coppell, Texas 75019
Drawing revisions required from DRC meeting on October 4, 2001
Dear Ms. Roy and City of Coppell Planning Department,
Again, thank you for your assistance concerning the Sprint PCS telecommunications
proposal for Andrew' Brown Community Park Central. We especially appreciate the
additional time needed to submit the revisions to our drawings that were needed after the
October 4th meeting.
The revised zoning drawings w'ill show that Sprint PCS has moved our equipment
compound. The proposed telecommunications light standard location will remain the
same, it does not move. The new- equipment compound location was of course needed
due to the City of Coppell stating that Sprint PCS cannot build within the floodplain.
Therefore, Sprint PCS met with representatives from the parks department to go over
various alternatives. The AT&¥ location was the parks departments first choice.
Therefore, Sprint PCS proposes to move our equipment compound to the existing
concession building where Al&/has their equipment. Ihis of course is subject to
AI&I's approval that no encroachment to their lease area or easements exist. Should our
proposal be rejected by AT&T, then Sprint PCS respectfully asks the City of Coppell for
help in determining a suitable, mutually acceptable location for our equipment
compound.
In summation, Sprint PCS is submitting the attached new zoning drawings/site plans.
Based on a new filing deadline of October 17, 2001 we understand the new DRC date
would be November 1, 2001 which puts the possible hearing dates to be November 15th
for Planning and Zoning, and December 1 lth for City Council. If we have misunderstood
the current status of our case before the city, please notify us as soon as possible. The
contact for Sprint PCS on this project remains Hart Mason ~' 214-525-4061 or PCS #
