PD145R(CH)-CS 960909Mr. Mayor,
CiD' Manager and Council Members;
Due to other obligations, none of thc officers of the Woodridge Homeowners Association (¥,~-IA.) can be
present at the CiD' Council meeting on ~ptembcr 10, 1996. Therefore, on ~hMf of W~, I, Ga~ Dan~,
would like to register ~'s support for thc proposal ordinance for the building of garages and carports iu
the P[% 145 ~cfion of W~dfidge of Cop~,ll. This ordinm~ce ~5ll ensure qualiD' home addition s and const~cfon
for y~a~ to come. This ordinance M~ add~s~s ~e concerns of ~e ci~cns of the P~145 section of Wo~h-idge,
and ~lows for thc flexibiliW of building a carpo~l or garage.
The PD-145 ~ction of Woodridge has suffered from poor planning by the builder for many years. Because of
the lot and home sizes it is dit~cult for thc homeowner to add an ou~ide shelter for ~cir automobiles.
~e yea~ a hodgepodge of car shelters ha~ ~en erecmd, most of su~s~dard cons~c6on. This ordnance ~n~ll
alle~4ate the problem and enhance P~145 over the long term and help to stabilize, and hopefully, increase
proofD' values for the homeowners in this ~cfion of W~dridge.
This ordinance is a 'common s~se'ordinance that eusures that fi~ture construction and additions match the
cxistiog home in materials u~d. ~, that the construction of the addition is of the same standard as the
existing home.
In closing, approval of this ordinance ~4ll ~ a benefit to the rcsiden~ of P~145 and will enhance Woodridge
of ~ppell tbr many years to come. Thank you in advance tbr your 6me re~rding this letter.
