First nxlucst denied ....... based on Exhibit 'B' of Woodridgo Planned Development (PD145R)
Item #2 Garages and Carports, section c .... item iv.
What I am trying to do .......... cover existing cement slab in rear entry with carport built by TuffSbed.
Those buildings are made of wood, have enclosed utility area at front of carport, have shingle roofs, and
are painted to match the house. This is the best looking au-pon I have seen in my search to have something
cover my car from the weather.
The denial for the building permit apparently lies in thc current building ¢od¢ for the distance from r~r property line
that new building can begin. From my understanding, it is I 0 feet from tho roar property line. Ill try to go by this
code, I cannot cover the existing cement slab and the size of the caq~ort will not fit in the specified area. Also, ill
have to tear up tho current cement slab to make it me~t building code, ! cannot afford to do this improw;ment.
This is what I am trying to accomplish:
Current cement slab: 18 'fi~ wide and 19 fcct long (deep).
Alleyway (from edge of alloy going in 2 ½ f~'t to determine property line) puts the rear propcrt3, line 2 feet from the
edge of'thc cement slab.
I will bc extending the sides ~o 20 feet wide (one foot one each side to put in thc wooden posts that will anchor thc
carport)
Within Ibc 19 fcct depth, my car is 16 feet long and adding a walking area in front of thc car of 3 feet gives mc thc
existing 19 feet of the current slab. I will be adding an additional four fr~-t for the enclosed utility area that TuffShed
provides with the building ortho car port, so this will make Ibc depth of the slab 23 feet.
This will work ill am allowed to b~gin thc building ofth~ carport on thc rear property linc, or from my calculations, I
can come in from the property line two feet and still make the dimcn.qions of the carport work.
Thank you for your atteution to my request.
