Ryland Homes, Westberry Manor
SF 12 to PDSF 7
I live in the Park Place Subdivision immediately North of the planned Westberry Manor
subdivision. I am writing to oppose the requested zoning change that will result in most of
the trees on that tract being destroyed. One local newpaper predicts that many, if not all,,
of the trees will be destroyed if Ryland is successful in their rezoning request. As a
community which bills ourselves as 'Tree City USA", our leaders should be making
decisions that uphold that nickname. I urge the Commission to make decisions for this
property that retain the beauty and benefits of such a mature growth of trees.
I am also concerned about the increased traffic on Sandy Lake Road and Heartz Road
which would result from approving a high density development such as Westberry Manor.
Serious traffic accidents have occm-red at this intersection. Sandy Lake Road is already
overburdened with traffic.. Let's not add to this danger and congestion by approving this
zoning change. Please retain the SF 12 zoning.
Cast your vote FOR safe neighborhoods and a landscape that befits the nickname 'Tree
city USA".
