PD166-NR 980514May 14, 1998 Mr. Gary L. Sieb, Planning Director City of Coppell Planning Department 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, TX 75019 Dear Mr. Sieb: One of my neighbors in the Park Place subdivision brought to my attention the zoning change request for Westbury Manor, the proposed new subdivision on the east side of Heartz Road and the south side of Sandy Lake Road. I agree with my neighbor's concern about the cutting of an excessive number of trees and I also feel that SF-7 sized lots do not fit in with the rest of the building in this area over the past 5 years. When Flamingo Homes requested a change in zoning for the property north of Sandy Lake road and east of Heartz Road to build on SF-7 sized lots their request was denied. They consequently built on SF-9 sized lots, which I feel should also be the minimum for building on this property. This would also hold true for the proposed zoning change for Eastbury Manor on the east side of Lodge Road and the north side of Sandy Lake Road. The recent construction around this parcel are also at least SF-9 sized lots and in order to be consistent with the neighborhood, this construction should follow this same SF-9 or SF-12 lot sizes. Decisions like this one will be with us for a long time. I hope this will not be another decision based on what benefits a developer rather than what benefits the city and its citizens. I was dismayed to see homes built along the Highway 121 bypass and hope that I never see a decision like that made again. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Anne M.
