DRC DATE: October 29, 1998 and November 5, 1998 CONTACT: Mike Martin, P.E., Assistant City Engineer (972-304-3679) CO. MMENT STA TUS.. PRELIMINARY 1) The City Subdivision Ordinance requires a minimum fight-of-way width of 50' for all residential streets. When Shadydale Acres was originally platted and filed ia November of 1959, only 30' of right-of-way was dedicated for Willow Lane, likely under the assumption that future development to the north would dedicate any additional fight-of-way. The property to the north was developed as a school property with no access to Willow Lane. Therefore, 20' of right-of-way would be required as part of this development. The Engineering Department would support a dedication of a 10' street and utility easement on the south side of Willow Lane in lieu of the right-of-way dedication. This would provide enough room to reconstruct this street if the City decides to do so in the future.
