Dear Buddy:
Some time ago, you had asked me if there was a prohibition of reserving parking spaces
for specific users. As I recall, the question was raised because of an agreement you and
the Coppell Professional Plaza had regarding parking spaces at the northwest corner of
the Plaza property.
My recollection of our conversation involved the fact that you allowed the Plaza access
into the School District parking lot, resulting in two lost parking spaces. I further
remember that you and Dr. Couch had verbally agreed that two spaces in the Plaza
parking lot would be reserved for C.I.S.D. use. I believe your question to me was
whether two parking spaces in the Plaza lot could be physically "signed" to reflect their
reseiwed nature.
Although reserving two spaces for C.I.S.D. was not a condition for approval of the
Professional Plaza site plan/subdivision plat, we would have no objection to a mutual
agreement between you two to indicate two Plaza parking spaces being reserved as long
as no vertical signage was involved. Typically, a painted curb would serve that end.
I believe I have addressed the issue you requested, however, if additional information is
needed, please contact me at your convenience.
/. truly,
~ A.I.C.P.
