Staff is of the opinion if the applicant is applying the parking variance it obtained
for the existing stadium to calculate the required parking on this new lot it will
have to obtain a separate parking variance for the expansion.
Parking spaces must be 9' x 19' or 9' x 17' adjacent to a landscaped area.
Planting islands must be a minimum of 150 square feet and a minimum 9'-wide.
Each planting island must contain at least 1 tree. This requirement is in addition
to the interior landscaping tree ratio requirement of 1 tree per 400 square feet of
interior landscaping.
As a general rule, a single row of parking can not contain more than 15 parking
spaces.
Clearly identify the number of trees located in the preservation area.
Furnish the non-vehicular operi space landscaping requirements and perimeter
landscaping requirements.
By creating a separate lot, the applicant will have to provide a 10' landscape
buffer along the southern property line. Staff suggests incorporating this new area
with previous plat with a replat/minor plat.
