Arts Center/SPAm-CS000809.o - Coppell Arts Memo.doc Page 1 ~ Memo To: Complaint file EAB2000003423C reference EABPRJ98008575, City of Coppell Arts Center, 157 Moore Road, Coppell, TX 75019 From: Bob Roda Subject: Investigative Report Date: August 9, 2000 On August 2, 2000, Shed Moino, City of Coppell Facilities Manager, 255 Parkway Blvd, P.O. Box 468, Coppell, TX 75019, 972-304-3558, advised that she was aware of the parking problem at the Center for Arts. She said that she has already contacted TDLR, Faye McGee, to generate an invoice for the inspection of the Center for Arts and the city would pay the inspection fee and have the finished project inspected for compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS). We also discussed the need for additional reserved disabled parking spaces at the Center. Moino explained the problems involved and additional expense to add curb cuts and sidewalks to the finished project. She requested that the Department consider approving two additional reserved disabled parking spaces across the aisle from the present two. On August 7, 2000, David Gonzales stated that he would consider the two additional reserved disabled parking spaces across the aisle as a suitable resolution. Since this solution does not appear to add significantly to the distance of the direct line of travel, the solution is acceptable to the Department as long as the new reserved disabled spaces mirror the present reserved disabled parking spaces and meet the requirements of TAS.
