Dear Ms. Bowman:
Listed below are the items that we are requesting a variance on behalf of Coppell
Independent School District.
1. The use of a Registered Professional Landscape Architect be waived in order to
use a local Registered Nurserymen to do the Landscape Plan.
2. Permitted to use 5" thick concrete pavement (in place of the required 6" thick
concrete pavement) in all parking areas based on an engineer's soils report.

Dear Ms. Bowman:
During our last Development Review Committee Meeting it was brought to our attention
that a traffic study of the proposed Hertz Elementary School would be required. This letter
is to inform you of our intent to comply with the City of Coppell's request. Coppell
Independent School District has hired a traffic engineer (Tom Walton) to perform this
study. We hope to be able to deliver the report on or before Thursday, February 25, 1993.
In order to meet the deadline, we are requesting the City's assistance in obtaining copies
of reports or studies that might have been performed on the following:
Chaucer Estates;
Parks of Coppell;
Proposed City Library;
Centex Development (on the north side of City Hall); or
Town Center.
Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated and would help in the school
district's timely response. Should you have any questions, or require further information,
please feel free to contact our office.
