After reviewing Mr. Anderson's proposal for 1 - 10" line for service of closed and open fire protection at this site, staff was in agreement with the proposed meter setting (DDC II). The sprinkler system inside the building will be a closed system. In the event water is used from the sprinkler system, an alarm will sound at the Fire Station. All fire hydrants on site will be equipped with Hydra-Storz connections at the expense of the developer. This type of connection greatly restricts unauthorized use of fire hydrants.
