COMMENTS/RECOMMENDATION: You will recall from your previous discussions of this item, Mike Allen has alluded to a letter of agreement he sent to me concerning the dedication of right-of-way for MacArthur Boulevard. We have attached a copy of this letter, please note that we did not execute nor return the agreement to Mr. Allen. It is staff's recommendation that City Council require dedication of the right-of-way from MacArthur Boulevard at this time. Mr. Allen wanted to postpone dedication of this right-of-way and make the dedication at the time the property east of MacArthur is rezoned. We cannot recommend this course of action. We, therefore, have placed that item following your consideration of this plat. One possible alternative, but one that we do not strongly recommend, is that you obtain only half of the right-of- way with this plat and the other half at the time the other property east is platted. This approach might end of requiring we purchase the right-of-way should Mr. Allen and Univest not come forward with a plat on that property at the time the right-of-way is needed.
